A few weeks ago, we announced that this year's Shipley Harley Rally, in it's normal format, had to be cancelled. We looked at all of the practicalities of keeping such a large gathering safe and have decided that due to the ongoing issues with COVID-19, we could not, in all good faith, put the health and safety of our club members, rugby club staff, attendees and indeed the local population at risk.
So there will be no 2020 Shipley Harley Rally, no marquee, no music, no bands, no food and no Charity Ride out on the Sunday. Hopefully, we can return to normal in 2021.
Following the passing of big Paul (most of you will know Paul from the many hours he has spent on the gate at the rally), Griff was still trying to arrange something in Paul's honour. Discussions with the Rugby Club were going well and it was looking like we might be able to host a small event in Paul's honour. However, all of those plans were scuppered last week, as a spike in COVID-19 was identified in Bradford and some lockdown measures were reintroduced. Due to these new restrictions, we cannot now hold any kind of event.
So sincere apologies to everybody, stay safe, stay well and hopefully we will see you all in 2021
Cheers
Mick & Griff
