| Bikers around the country come together throughout the year for many different reasons ..... lots of beer, great music, partying etc etc, but most rallies have one thing in common and that is the desire to help others. A great deal of money is raised every year by bikers and especially Harley riders. The Shipley Harley rally is no different and this year we have continued to support our 3 main charities. On the Sunday, every year, an organised toy run takes place with literally hundreds of Harleys riding in convoy .... a real sight to behold. Over the years the Sunday ride-out has had several destinations including Bramham Park, Temple Newsome and more recently, Harewood House. This years ride-out started in Baildon village as usual, leaving at 1 p.m. Take a look at the Photo Album to see some pics of this fantastic event. The toy run is to help the Bradford Royal Infirmary Childrens Ward. The usual contributions of cuddly toys, teddy bears etc were there in their hundreds again this year, but the hospital really needs things like colouring books & pens, games etc and so we would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who brought those along too. Click on the link below to see the thankyou letter from the hospital. Thankyou letters from 2008 & 2005 This year we have made the following donations :
The second charity that our rally supports is
and the third charity that our rally supports is Marie Curie Nurses provide free nursing care to cancer patients and those with other terminal illnesses in their own homes. Please give generously ............. all of these charities need your help. Thankyou !!
